The world is about to witness a Total Lunar Eclipse tomorrow i.e. on November 8, 2022, which is also the last lunar eclipse of 2022. When the Sun, Earth, and Moon align together in such a way that the Moon passes through Earth’s shadow, a lunar eclipse occurs. However, for a total eclipse to occur the entire Moon has to fall within the darkest part of Earth’s shadow, called the umbra.
Total lunar eclipses also tend to make the moon look a reddish hue. And although the last total lunar eclipse occurred in May 2022, the forthcoming lunar eclipse is way more special and rare than the last one.
What Makes Chandra Grahan 2022 Special?
What makes this lunar eclipse special is the fact that it’s not only the last lunar eclipse of the year but also the last total lunar eclipse to happen for the coming 3 years. Although we’ll continue to see partial and penumbral lunar eclipses during this time, the next occurrence of a total lunar eclipse is said to happen on March 14, 2025. Hence, you should definitely check out this eclipse tomorrow.
