Inox Wind Ramps Up Execution Of 990 MW Order From Purvah Green

This project marks the single largest wind order awarded by an independent power producer in India to any wind original equipment manufacturer, Inox Wind said.

Wind energy solutions provider Inox Wind Ltd. on Monday said it has begun executing a 990 MW turnkey order, part of the 1,500 MW framework agreement it signed with Purvah Green Pvt., a subsidiary of CESC Ltd. The projects are currently underway across multiple sites in Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh.

According to a company statement, Inox Wind has received all advances related to the order, with commissioning expected to begin in a phased manner from fiscal 2026.

"We are pleased to announce that we are now executing the entire 990 MW of turnkey project for Purvah across multiple locations. We will commence the commissioning of the project in a phased manner starting financial year 2026," said Inox Wind Group Chief Executive Officer Kailash Tarachandani.

Tarachandani also called it a "milestone order" and expressed confidence in deepening the company’s relationship with Purvah further.

This project, the company added, marks the single largest wind order awarded by an independent power producer in India to any wind original equipment manufacturer.

Sandeep Kashyap, the CEO of Renewables Business at RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, echoed the sentiment, saying, "We are pleased with the progress which we have achieved on this project. Our partnership with Inox Wind will be a strong catalyst in our quest to achieve multi-fold growth in our renewable portfolio over the next few years. This is an important project for us, which will significantly contribute to achieve our green ambitions."

Purvah Green, the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group's flagship renewable energy arm, is building a sizeable portfolio of wind and solar power projects across Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka.
