(Bloomberg) -- Vietnam’s National Assembly approved an extension to land lease exemptions for farmland through 2025 to boost the nation’s agriculture industry, according to a posting on the government’s website, which cited finance minister Dinh Tien Dung.

The extensions aim to lure more investment into agricultural projects, according to the posting. The ministry is weighing a proposal to tax fallow land to increase the use of farm land.
