SpiceJet Launches Monsoon Sale With Rs 444 Offer

The bookings for the SpiceJet offer will be open till the midnight of June 26.

Spicejet on Wednesday announced a five-day 'Monsoon Bonanza Sale' with base fares starting from Rs 444 (excluding taxes) on domestic routes. The SpiceJet offer is applicable on travel between July 1 and September 30.

The bookings for the SpiceJet offer will be open till the midnight of June 26.

SpiceJet said the base fare of Rs 444 is for the Jammu-Srinagar, Ahmedabad-Mumbai, Mumbai-Goa, Delhi-Dehradun and Delhi-Amritsar routes. SpiceJet however did not disclose the number of seats under the offer.

A search on SpiceJet's website showed that the tickets on Delhi-Dehradun route next month were at Rs 1,167 after including all the charges. Delhi-Amritsar tickets, inclusive of all charges, were going for Rs 2,100 in July and Rs 1,300 in August.

In comparison, regular fares on Delhi-Amritsar route were at around Rs 3,200 for next week. Tickets under this offer are non-refundable. Only statutory taxes are refundable.

Last month, SpiceJet has also announced a three-day Rs 511-ticket offer to mark its 11th anniversary.

Airlines typically announce promotional schemes for travel during the July to September period, considered a lean season in travel industry. Discount offers help airlines increase load factors during that period.

India's biggest carrier IndiGo is currently offering a promotional scheme with fares starting Rs 789 all-inclusive. IndiGo's offer is applicable on travel between July 8 and September 30.
