Power Demand To Pick Up Soon Despite Pipeline Delays, Says GAIL Director

In an exclusive interview with NDTV Profit, Sanjay Kumar, Director (Marketing), GAIL highlighted that while current lower power demand could impact the company’s Q1 financials, they expect power demand to pick up soon, driven by seasonal factors and economic recovery. The director acknowledged delays in pipeline connectivity and a fertiliser plant shutdown have led to a downward revision in transmission volume guidance.
