- In response, the CCPA cited Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Eules, 2020 which states that no e-commerce entity shall adopt any unfair trade practice whether in the course of business or on its platform or otherwise. Under the Consumer Protection Act, goods which violate compulsory standards are liable to be held "defective".
