Mahindra launches motorcycle 'Centuro' at Rs 45,000

Mahindra Two Wheelers on Monday launched its new motorcycle Centuro in the highly competitive 100-110 cc segment.

The bike developed indigenously and priced at Rs 45,000 (ex-showroom, New Delhi) was nationally launched by the Mahindra group chairman Anand Mahindra at a ceremony in Jaipur.

"The product is the result of confluence of customers' feedback, out of box thinking and meticulous engineering," Mr Mahindra said at the launch.

Mr Mahindra said the class defined motorcycle, which delivers a mileage of 85.4 km per litre, was engineered to address inherent needs of Indian consumer of two-wheeler segment.

"The Centuro is testimony to our determination to emerge as a serious player in the high volume commuter segment," Mr Mahindra said.

President of the Mahindra two wheeler sector, Anoop Mathur, announced, as a special one-time offer, that the first 10,000 bookings will get a special discount of Rs 1,000 and will be available at Rs 44,000.

Powered by the indigenously developed MCi-5 (Micro Chip Ignited-5 curve) engine, the Centuro has been engineered to meet exacting consumer demand in terms of performance, features and reliability.
