Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corp said today that 35 of its stores will open in India over the next five years under a new development deal with franchisee Bedrock Food Co Financial terms were not disclosed.

Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corp said today that 35 of its stores will open in India over the next five years under a new development deal with franchisee Bedrock Food Co Financial terms were not disclosed.

The stores will open in various locations, including Delhi, Jaipur and Lucknow.

"Coffee and doughnuts as a category has huge potential in India and we expect the market to grow quickly over the next few years," Bedrock Managing Director Purwa Sinha said in a statement.

Bedrock is a licensed franchisee of Krispy Kreme for the North India region.

Krispy Kreme, based in Winston-Salem, has more than 690 stores in 21 countries.
