ITC shares jumped nearly 6 per cent to a fresh 52-week high on Friday after they went ex-bonus. ITC shares jumped to Rs 259.75 on National Stock Exchange against its adjusted closing price of Rs 245.60 on Thursday.
ITC had declared a 1:2 bonus shares issue in May this year for which the record date is July 2, 2016. Shareholders who will have two ITC shares in their demat account as on July 2, will get one bonus share.
Accordingly, ITC share prices have been adjusted in 2/3 ratio to reflect the bonus issue.
ITC shares ended 2.75 per cent higher at 252.35 apiece compared to its adjusted closing price of Rs 245.6 on Thursday.
