Nissan Motor India reported a 44.76% year-on-year increase in total sales for February 2025, reaching 8,567 units, driven by strong export demand. The company had sold 5,918 units in the same month last year.

Domestic sales stood at 2,328 units, declining from 2,755 units in February 2024. Meanwhile, exports nearly doubled to 6,239 units, marking a 97% rise compared to 3,163 units a year ago. The company also announced that cumulative exports of its compact SUV Magnite have surpassed 50,000 units since launch.

The Magnite lineup is now fully E20-compliant across all powertrain options. Nissan said the Magnite BR10 naturally aspirated engine recently achieved full compliance, following the 1-litre HR10 turbocharged petrol engine, which became E20-compatible in August 2024.

"Our strategy focuses on future-ready mobility solutions, aligning with evolving environmental standards. This achievement highlights the growing trust in Nissan's ability to deliver quality, innovation, and performance," said Nissan Motor India Managing Director Saurabh Vatsa.

Nissan began exporting the left-hand drive variant of the new Magnite in January 2025, shipping nearly 2,900 units to Latin America. In February, the company expanded shipments further, exporting over 2,000 units to the Middle East, North Africa, and Asia Pacific regions. Additionally, more than 5,100 units were sent to Latin American markets. By the end of February, total exports of the model had exceeded 10,000 units.

The company has been focusing on expanding its global footprint through the Magnite, which has become a key driver of its export volumes. The strong demand for the SUV in international markets has helped offset a decline in domestic sales.
