Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has praised his nation's advances in unmanned systems for saving lives in the war against Russia and in helping defeat the enemy. These robots have completed over 22,000 frontline missions in just three months, saving lives "more than 22,000 times" by replacing soldiers in high-risk zones, he said.

“For the first time in the history of this war, an enemy position was taken exclusively by unmanned platforms – ground systems and drones. The occupiers surrendered, and the operation was carried out without infantry and without losses on our side,” Zelenskyy added.

Zelenskyy posted the completed message in an X thread. He delivered these remarks while addressing workers of Ukraine's defence-industrial complex.

“Ratel, TerMIT, Ardal, Rys, Zmiy, Protector, Volia, and our other ground robotic systems have already carried out more than 22,000 missions on the front in just three months. In other words, lives were saved more than 22,000 times when a robot went into the most dangerous areas instead of a warrior. This is about high technology protecting the highest value – human life,” he added.

Zelenskyy said Ukraine is now capable of producing “millions” of first-person-view (FPV) drones annually, alongside large volumes of artillery shells, interceptors and domestically developed missile systems.

He pointed to a growing arsenal of indigenous long-range missile weapons, including systems named Flamingo, Ruta, Peklo, Neptune, Palianytsia and Vilkha, describing them not as experimental projects but as “a real force already at work.”

He highlighted “historic” drone strikes reaching 1,750 kilometres from Ukraine's borders: undertaken by models such as Sichen, Liutyi, Morok, Bars, Obriy, and FP.

“There will be more. And this is not about records – it is about justice that will find evil anywhere in the world,” he emphatically stated.

Zelenskyy further highlighted Ukraine's evolving role in maritime security, particularly in the Black Sea theatre, where Ukrainian forces have conducted operations involving air threats and mine warfare. He suggested that Ukraine's experience in such environments is unmatched, drawing comparisons with ongoing global concerns around maritime chokepoints such as the Strait of Hormuz.

“Our naval drones, Sea Baby, Magura, and Sargan, are well-known, and this is Ukraine's export offering too. As is our artillery, which we produce at the largest scale in Europe. As are our shells, which are now growing in numbers. As is our armour, which becomes more effective every year,” Zelenskyy said.
