With the war drums beating louder again, Iran has started manufacturing ballistic missiles again at its underground facilities, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing sources in the United States and the Middle East.
Tehran is building these weapons in subterranean facilities, utilising accumulated parts such as guidance systems, airframes, and completed warheads, according to the report.
Due to severely damaged industrial infrastructure and an ongoing US naval blockade that limits the import of rocket fuel components, production is currently reduced in comparison to pre-war levels.
The Khojir military complex in southeast Iran is one of the underground locations where production activity has reportedly been found, along with attempts to create new underground gathering places in order to avoid future attacks.

Iran's missile program had been "functionally destroyed," according to US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth, who stated in April that Tehran had "no ability to replenish" the weapons it was shooting.
According to the Pentagon, up to 90% of Iran's drone, ballistic missile, and naval industrial base had been destroyed by American forces, and the country's capacity to fire missiles and drones had been severely weakened.
A White House official recently stated that Iran's military had been seriously undermined and reaffirmed that President Donald Trump would not permit Tehran to obtain a nuclear weapon, without specifically addressing whether missile development had resumed.
