As temperatures rise in Bengaluru amid heatwave conditions in various parts of the country, residents are finding different ways to stay cool. One such unconventional idea has now gone viral on social media.

Priya Pal, a resident from Bengaluru, left everyone stunned after she posted a video on Instagram revealing that instead of enduring the sweltering weather at home, she checked into a nearby hotel for a day — just to enjoy uninterrupted air conditioning.

"Ab nhi ho rha AC ke bina" (It cannot work without AC anymore), she captioned the video expressing difficulty in managing without air conditioning.

"We booked a hotel next our house only for this in Bengaluru," reads a text on the video.

The video was relatable and amusing, quickly caught the attention of social media users, many of whom are grappling with the same heatwave.

In the comments section, Priya explained why she made the decision.

She wrote, "Because initially we thought it would rain soon, but it didn't. We looked for a cooler or AC, but everything is unavailable and will take seven days to be delivered. Renting is also unavailable in my area currently due to high demand. So we somehow booked a cooler online and decided to spend Sunday in a hotel, watching Netflix and chilling instead of going out to eat. Looks like a good decision to me."

Her lighthearted solution has since sparked conversations about urban summers, comfort hacks, and how far people are willing to go to stay cool.

Another commented, "Bengaluru weather really said surprise this year."

A third said, "This is honestly a smart hack, not even joking."

Some users pointed to the demand for cooling appliances. One wrote, "AC and cooler stocks are gone everywhere, same situation here."

Other reactions were more light-hearted. One user wrote, "Netflix and chill with full AC sounds like a perfect Sunday."

Another commented, "This is the kind of luxury we all need right now."

Some users also questioned her decision, asking, "so you book a hotel with ac but cannot afford to buy a new ac? why is that."

Responding to these comments, Priya wrote, "RELAX!!!It was booked for just one day because as mentioned in many comments Saturday was extremely hot for us that we started falling sick and we booked a cooler but its taking a day or two to get delivered. So we booked a room instead of going to a fancy restaurant and have expensive coffee. Also its a sunday so no office.
