Samsung is expected to send out invites for its first Galaxy Unpacked of 2026 any day now. The event, likely on Feb. 25, will see the Korean tech major pulling back the curtain from three devices: Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. As always, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will take centre stage as the flagship model, with roughly three-quarters of initial production — about 3.6 million units — reportedly allocated to it.

Here's everything we know so far about the Galaxy S26 Ultra, including possible specs, features, upgrades, and prices.

Camera

Camera improvements in the S26 Ultra appear to be a major focus, particularly in low-light performance and zoom capabilities. Teasers highlight enhanced handling of distant subjects, clearer video, and better results in dim conditions. The expected rear camera array includes a 200MP main sensor, 50MP ultrawide, 10MP telephoto, and 50MP periscope telephoto lens, alongside a 12MP front camera. An upgraded 24MP photo mode may also be added to the camera app.

Processor And Performance

Performance-wise, Geekbench listings for both Korean and global variants confirm the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset powering the S26 Ultra worldwide. Early scores show 3,601 in single-core and 10,686 in multi-core tests, with potential for higher results in final clocked units.

RAM And Storage

Minimum RAM is listed at 12GB, with possible storage options including 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB configurations.

Battery And Charging

Battery capacity in the S26 Ultra is expected to remain at 5,000mAh, but wired charging could rise to 60W (up from 45W on the predecessor) based on a Chinese 3C certification. Qi2 wireless charging is likely, though tipsters indicate no built-in magnets for MagSafe-style compatibility, meaning users may need third-party magnetic cases.

Design

Design leaks show a shift towards softer, rounded edges, moving further from the sharp, boxy Note-style look. The rear features a pill-shaped camera module housing most sensors, with one lens positioned separately. The front has a flat display with slimmer bezels and a centred hole-punch selfie camera. Physical buttons remain on the right side.

Display And Privacy Screen

The S26 Ultra's display is tipped to be a 6.9-inch QHD+ Dynamic Amoled panel. A new Privacy Display feature, already teased, should reduce side-angle visibility to protect content from prying eyes.

Operating System

The phone will likely launch with Android 16 and One UI 8.5.

Colours

Colour options shown in renders for the S26 Ultra include Black, White, Sky Blue, and Cobalt Violet. The S Pen appears in Black or White bodies, with only the top section matching the phone's colour.

Other Features

Additional features may include satellite connectivity (at least in China) and enhanced on-device AI capabilities.

Prices

The Galaxy S26 Ultra's pricing for the base 256GB model is expected to match the Galaxy S25 Ultra in most markets, though higher 512GB and 1TB variants could see price bumps.
