The Nothing Phone (4a) and Phone (4a) Pro have been officially launched by the U.K.-based brand, founded by Carl Pei, alongside the all-new Headphone (a). The Nothing Phone (4a), Phone (4a) Pro, and Headphone (a) continue the brand's focus on unique, expressive mid-range devices while building on its recognisable Glyph-inspired identity.

True to the brand's distinctive aesthetic, the Phone (4a) retains its signature transparent rear panel, allowing a clear view of the internal components and visible screws through the glass back.
The phone's design introduces a refreshed rear layout featuring a horizontal pill-shaped camera bar that accommodates a triple rear camera setup — two sensors housed together in one module and a third positioned separately — while the LED flash sits independently outside the camera island.
The Phone (4a) features a new Glyph Bar comprising six square LED zones with 63 mini LEDs, along with a red recording light. This Glyph Bar supports the Glyph Timer, torch, notifications, volume indicator, camera countdown and other features.
It features a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPS flexible Amoled display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, peak brightness of 4,500 nits, 2,160Hz PWM dimming, and is shielded by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i for durability. It carries an IP64 rating for water and dust resistance. The Phone (4a) is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, paired with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
For photography, the device includes a triple rear camera system: a 50MP Samsung GN9 primary sensor with optical image stabilisation, 50MP Samsung JN5 periscope telephoto lens delivering 3.5x optical zoom, and an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultrawide with a 120-degree field of view. The front houses a 32MP selfie camera, and the device supports 4K video recording at 30fps.
Nothing Phone (4a) packs a 5,400mAh battery, with 50W wired fast charging support. Weighing in at 204.5 gm, the device also offers dual stereo speakers, in-display optical fingerprint sensor, infrared blaster, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and GPS. The Phone (4a) is available in four colour options: black, white, pink, and blue.

Rather than the Glyph Bar found on other models, the Phone (4a) Pro features a larger always-on Glyph Matrix interface with 137 mini-LEDs capable of up to 3,000 nits peak brightness. This supports various Glyph Toys functions, including battery status, notifications, timer, caller ID, digital clock, and Solar Path. It introduces the Glyph Mirror feature, which enables users to quickly view themselves before taking a selfie.
Nothing highlighted early adoption from its community, with users creating custom “Glyph Toys” using the official Glyph SDK, which can be downloaded through the dedicated Playground section on the Nothing website.
The Phone (4a) Pro has the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC under its hood, alongside LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. It features a 6.83-inch 1.5K Amoled display with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, peak brightness reaching 5,000 nits, a 2,500Hz touch sampling rate, 2,160Hz PWM dimming, and protection from Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. The Pro model also includes the same battery capacity and fast charging support as the standard device, along with an IP65 rating.
For photography, the Phone (4a) Pro has a triple rear camera setup: 50MP main sensor (Sony LYT-700c) with optical image stabilisation, 50MP telephoto offering up to 140x "Ultra Zoom" capability, and an 8MP ultrawide. The front-facing camera is the same as on the Phone (4a). It is available in black, silver, and pink.
Nothing has promised three years of software updates and six years of security patches for the Phone 4a series.
