The South Korean tech major Samsung is reportedly gearing up to launch a new Galaxy F-series smartphone in India. Samsung hasn't officially revealed the name yet, but a Flipkart teaser suggests something new is on the way. Some believe this mystery mobile could be the Samsung Galaxy F16, and the recent sightings on certification websites have further fuelled that speculation.
A support page for the rumoured Samsung Galaxy F16 has gone live on Samsung India's website and the model number is SM-E166P/DS. Additionally, it has appeared in the Wi-Fi Alliance database, indicating that the device will support dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity.
If that's not enough, A Geekbench listing has also revealed that another unannounced phone, the Samsung Galaxy F06, may also be in-the-works, with a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, 8GB RAM, and Android 14.
What To Expect From Galaxy F16
Tech enthusiasts say the Samsung Galaxy F16 could be a rebranded version of the Galaxy A16 that hit the market last year for Rs 18,999. If that's the case, then it might have a 6.7-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The gadget is also expected to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, 8GB RAM and have up to 256GB storage.
Talking of the camera setup, the device could have a 50 MP triple rear camera setup and on the front, there might be a 13 MP camera. When the battery comes into question, then the device will have a 5000 mAh battery with 25W fast charging.
Since Flipkart has hinted at the new launch, and with multiple reports suggesting the the imminent launch of the Samsung Galaxy F16, Samsung fans in India may expect an official launch announcement soon. Stay tuned for more details!
