Apple usually goes for the sophisticated and understated colour palette — blacks and greys and silvers — for its premium Pro models. So when someone calls out to imagine the iPhone Pro and Pro Max in a fiery orange, it's hard not to sit up and take notice.
Apple is prepping the launch of its iPhone 17 series in September, and its top-end variants will likely be iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. Now, a latest leak from tipster Sonny Dickson on X suggests possible colour options for the Max models, along with others.
The colours are alluded to in the camera module, and the expected ones are all present for the Pro models: black, grey, silver, and dark blue. However, there's an expected entry: orange.
Since there's only a slight glimpse of the colour, it's hard to pinpoint the exact shade — it may lean more towards a copper hue than a standard sunset orange.

If this is the overall colour palette for the iPhone 17 series, it definitely looks vibrant, even for the base model and the all-new iPhone 17 Air. And while we have all been habituated to seeing the Pro models in their sophisticated avatars, the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max clad in orange could be a welcome sight.
We're still almost a couple of months away from the iPhone 17 launch in September. Rest assured, more of such hints will be dropped by insiders, hopefully providing a much surer colourway for the upcoming iPhones.
