Apple's long-rumoured foldable iPhone may arrive with noticeable design tweaks, according to a recent leak. A Weibo tipster claimed the handset will sport shifted volume buttons, a uniformly black camera bar, and a reduced Dynamic Island.
The Weibo user named 'Instant Digital' has outlined the potential design elements of Apple's foldable iPhone. According to the post, the volume buttons will be moved to the top edge on the right-hand side, echoing the layout seen on the iPad mini. The power button with integrated Touch ID and the camera control button are said to remain on the right edge, while the left side is reportedly left free of any physical controls.
The tipster added the front-facing camera setup will use a single punch-hole cut-out, allowing for a smaller Dynamic Island. On the rear, the handset is tipped to feature a black camera platform on the upper left, housing two horizontally aligned lenses alongside the microphone and flash. Instant Digital adds that white is the only colour confirmed at present, with one more option likely to be offered when the device launches.
The tipster suggests Apple has positioned the motherboard along the right-hand side of its foldable iPhone. To avoid routing cables across the display, as would be required if the volume buttons were placed on the opposite edge, the company is said to have moved the controls upward, a change expected to improve internal efficiency and space management.

The handset is also believed to employ a stacked internal structure, leaving little space unused and prioritising the display and battery. The tipster claims it will feature Apple's largest-ever iPhone battery.
According to MacRumors, Instant Digital is widely regarded as a reliable source on Apple developments, having accurately predicted several product details in the past. These include information on the yellow iPhone 14 released in 2023 and the frosted glass finish used on the iPhone 15 models.
MacRumors adds that the foldable iPhone may arrive with a large 7.8-inch internal display that avoids the crease commonly seen on rival devices, alongside a 5.5-inch cover screen. The handset is also tipped to offer Touch ID authentication, two rear-facing cameras, the A20 chip, and Apple's C2 modem. The device is widely expected to debut alongside the iPhone 18 Pro models later this year.
