Indian opener Abhishek Sharma got out for a duck against the Netherlands in the ongoing Men's ICC 2026 T20 World Cup. This is the third time the left-hander dasher has got out for a duck in-a-row in the tournament. India are playing against the Netherlands in Ahemdabad at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Feb. 18.

Netherlands spinner Aryan Dutt served a back of the length delivery which pitched on middle and off, and the ball spun back in. Abhishek, having played two dots in the opening over, swung his bat hard but failed to connect and the ball uprooted the leg stump.

Netherlands took a leaf out of Pakistan's book as skipper Scott Edwards asked Aryan Dutt to open the bowling. Pakistan captain Salman Agha, a spinner, bowled the opening over of the India-Pakistan game. He was duly rewarded as Abhishek miscued his shot and handed an easy catch to Shaheen Shah Afridi at mid-on.

In India's tournament opener, Abhishek hammered a ball from USA pacer Shadley van Schalkwyk over the covers and was caught by Sanjay Krishnamurthi in the deep.
