Since making their debut in 2022, Gujarat Titans (GT) have been one of the most consistent teams in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The Ahmedabad-based franchise, won the title in their debut season and have finished outside the top four only once, in 2024.
Last season, the Titans were knocked out by Mumbai Indians in the Eliminator, and they'll be hoping to make another deep run in the tournament this year having retained the spine of their squad.
At the helm, India's ODI and Test captain, Shubman Gill, will be eager to remind the selectors about his calibre in the shortest format, having been left out of the World Cup winning squad.
The franchise have retained Sai Sudarshan, who finished last season as the tournament's leading scorer with 759 runs. Jos Buttler adds further heft to the top order, provided the Englishman can rediscover his ballistic form after a quiet World Cup.
The addition of Jason Holder for Rs 7 crore in the auction, strengthens the middle-order, with the tall pace-bowling all-rounder bringing bags of international experience with him.
The Titans' bowling unit continues to be among the most formidable in the competition, with Mohammed Siraj leading the Indian pace attack, supported by Prasidh Krishna, while Kagiso Rabada adds pace and wicket-taking threat.
Another player who comes in with a point to prove is Rashid Khan who had a subdued 2025 season affected by injury. Sai Kishore will continue to complement Rashid with his left-arm variations, giving GT multiple spin options depending on match-ups.
