Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's thunderous 175 off 80 balls and RS Ambrish's three-wicket spell helped India crush England by 100 runs in the men's ICC Under 19 World Cup 2026 final played at Harare Sports Club on Friday. The victory helped India lift an unprecedented sixth men's Under 19 World Cup title.

Riding high on Sooryavanshi's blistering knock, India posted a tournament-high of 411/9 before disciplined bowling from Ambrish and co. cleaned up England for 311 in 40.2 overs. India, thus, won the World Cup winning all their matches.

The 'Boys In Blue' have previously won the Under 19 World Cup in 2000, 2008, 2012, 2018, 2022. Ayush Mahatre has thus joined the ranks of Mohammed Kaif, Virat Kohli, Unmukt Chand, Prithvi Shaw and Yash Dhull as an Under 19 World Cup-winning skipper.

For his breathtaking knock, Sooryavanshi won the Player of the Match award. The 14-year-old also was adjudged the Player of the Series for amassing 439 runs in seven innings with an incredible average of 62.71 and a barely-believable strike rate of 169.49.
