Asia Cup 2025 is set to take centre stage in the UAE from September 9. The 2025 iteration of the marquee subcontinental T20I tournament features eight teams - India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, UAE, Oman and Hong Kong. It won't be wrong to say that the Asia Cup kicks off the busy and exciting season, headlined by the 2026 edition of the T20 World Cup.
Asia Cup 2025: Format
The expanded Asia Cup 2025 will follow the traditional group format. Arch-rivals India and Pakistan are part of Group A alongside tournament hosts UAE and their neighbours Oman.
Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong are in Group B.
The top two teams from each group will qualify for a high-intense Super 4s stage, where the tournament finalists will be decided for a mouthwatering summit clash on September 28.
Dubai and Abu Dhabi will play host to the tournament matches, with the final scheduled in Dubai.
