(Bloomberg) -- Brazil's President Jair Bolsonaro took to Facebook to broadcast himself watching Donald Trump's speech on Iran, taking the opportunity to stress that he supports peace efforts and rejects terrorism.

After a few minutes of the video showing Bolsonaro apparently taking notes while watching Trump on TV, the Brazilian President turned to the camera to read sections of the country's constitution condemning terrorism, and accused his predecessor Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva of supporting Iran's plans to enrich uranium.

On taking office last year, Bolsonaro jettisoned Brazil's traditional, multilateral approach to foreign policy to align fully with the U.S. and its closest allies. Although the change in Brazil's posture has yet to result in any tangible benefits for the South American nation, Bolsonaro remains an unabashed fan of Trump and has repeatedly forecast that he will win re-election in 2020.
