Top 10 Most-Valued Firms Lose Rs 32,460 Crore In Market Cap

The top 10 most-valued firms lost a cumulative Rs 32,460.3 crore in market valuation on Thursday, with HDFC Bank Ltd., ICICI Bank Ltd. and ITC Ltd. emerging as the biggest losers.

HDFC Bank's market capitalisation dropped Rs 30,667.4 crore to Rs 12.9 lakh crore, while that of ICICI Bank fell Rs 8,257.9 crore to Rs 8.82 lakh crore.

ITC witnessed a market-cap loss of Rs 5,442.6 crore, bringing its market cap to Rs 5.03 lakh crore. Bajaj Finance Ltd. and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. lost Rs 2,476 crore and Rs 1,700.5 crore respectively.

Reliance Industries Ltd. retained its position as the most-valued firm, followed by TCS, HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel Ltd., ICICI Bank, Infosys Ltd., State Bank of India, Hindustan Unilever Ltd., Bajaj Finance and ITC.

India's benchmark stock indices posted a third consecutive day of losses on Thursday, as financial heavyweights HDFC Bank Ltd. and ICICI Bank Ltd. underperformed.
