- Tata Communications reported a 99% quarter-on-quarter increase in net profit for Q3
- Net profit rose to Rs 365.3 crore from Rs 183 crore in the previous quarter
- Revenue remained nearly flat at Rs 6,189 crore, up 1% from last quarter
Tata Communications Ltd. has reported its third quarter earnings for the financial year ending March 2026, where the company reported a 99% quarter-on-quarter surge in net profit, driven by higher other income.
The bottom line for the telecommunications giant in the third quarter stood at Rs 365.3 crore, which accounts for a 99% increase from the Rs 183 crore the company reported in the last quarter. Meanwhile, the revenue for Tata Communications remained flat at Rs 6,189 crore, up merely a percentage from the Rs 6,099 crore topline the company reported during the same period.
The doubling of net profit can be attributable to a higher other income of Rs 259 crore in this quarter, which compares to a loss of Rs 17 crore in the previous quarter. Margins for Tata Communications expanded 60 basis points to 19.8% quarter-on-quarter. The telecommunication also posted a one-time labour code impact of around Rs 61 crore.
In addition to reporting its Q3 numbers, Tata Communications has also selected Ganesh Lakshminarayanan as MD, CEO, the company confirmed through an exchange filing.
