India's leading exchanges NSE has reported consolidated profit of Rs 2,871 crore in quarter ended June, posting a 19% jump quarter-on-quarter. This is in comparison to profit of Rs 2,409 crore in the same quarter of fiscal 2025, according to its stock exchange notification on Tuesday.
Consolidate revenue of the exchange advanced by 34% quarter-on-quarter for the three months ended March, reaching Rs 4,077 crore. The consolidated revenue from transaction charges for the quarter under review was Rs 4,077 crores, a sequential growth of 34% quarter-on-quarter led by an increase in volumes across equity cash market and derivatives segments. Revenue from data connectivity charges for quarter ended March was Rs 269 crore, operating investment income was Rs 198 crore and that from data feed and terminal services stood at Rs 128 crore.
Operating income, or earnings before interest and taxes rose 27% to Rs 3,633 crore from Rs 2,851 crore. The total income rose 22% and stood at Rs 5,360 crore in comparison to Rs 4,395 crore from its previous quarter.

The cash market trading segment recorded an average daily traded volume (ADTV) of Rs 1,19,617 crore, up 21% quarter-on-quarter. The ADTV for equity futures segment in the quarter ended March grew by 17% quarter-on-quarter to Rs 1,77,891 crore; while the ADTV for equity options (premium value) grew by 43% quarter-on-quarter to Rs 76,375 crore.
The Board recommended a final dividend of Rs 35 per equity share of Rs 1 each for the year ended March 31, 2026, subject to approval of the shareholders at the ensuing Annual General Meeting. This includes a special one-time dividend of Rs 10 per equity share.
During fiscal 2026, NSE's contribution to the exchequer was Rs 59,186 crore which comprised STT/CTT of Rs 48,345 crore, income tax of Rs 4,480 crore, stamp duty of Rs 3,411 crore, GST of Rs 1,942 crore and SEBI fees of Rs 1,008 crore. Of the total STT/CTT of Rs 48,345 crore, cash market (delivery based) segment constituted 47%, cash market (intraday) segment constituted 7%, and equity derivatives segment constituted 46%.
