Actor Salman Khan has seemingly revealed that his upcoming war drama Battle Of Galwan has been renamed Maatrubhumi. The actor shared a cryptic post on Instagram on Monday with the caption, “May War Rest In Peace #Maatrubhumi,” sparking speculation that the film's title has officially changed.

The film, directed by Apoorva Lakhia, is based on the 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese troops — a rare and intense border conflict where soldiers fought without firearms, using sticks and stones.

Interestingly, Maatrubhumi is also the title of the film's first song, which was earlier released as a teaser and carries a strong patriotic theme. The track is composed by Himesh Reshammiya and is expected to play a key emotional role in the film.

Apart from Salman Khan, the film also stars Chitrangda Singh in a pivotal role. The shooting reportedly began in Ladakh, with several key action sequences already completed.

While the release date has not been officially announced, reports suggest the makers are considering a mid-2026 release.
