The long-awaited film starring Jr NTR and directed by Prashanth Neel has finally locked its release date. The makers have announced that the film, currently titled #NTRNeel, will arrive in theatres worldwide on June 11, 2027.
Along with the release date, the team revealed that the film's first glimpse will be released on May 20, marking Jr NTR's birthday. The announcement was accompanied by a striking poster showing the actor in a powerful silhouette, walking through dust, hinting at the film's intense tone and scale.
Sharing the update on X on Tuesday, Jr NTR wrote, “HIS REIGN… HIS SOIL… JUNE 11, 2027… IT IS…. #NTRNeel (sic),” a line that quickly grabbed fans' attention online.
Production banner Mythri Movie Makers also confirmed the news, posting, “When the storm finds its purpose… #NTRNeel worldwide in cinemas on June 11, 2027 ???? First glimpse out on May 20th. MAN OF MASSES.”
The project was earlier expected to be released in June 2026, but has now been delayed by a year. Addressing rumours around the cancellation of the film schedule, the makers clarified, "There is absolutely no truth to the rumours circulating about the look or any schedule cancellation. The film is progressing as planned, with only a routine preparation gap. We request everyone not to believe or spread unverified information. Official updates will always come from us. #NTRNeel."
The film is backed by Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts, with Kalyan Ram Nandamuri, Naveen Yerneni, Ravi Shankar Yalamanchili, and Hari Krishna Kosaraju as producers. Rukmini Vasanth will be seen as the female lead, while the music is composed by Ravi Basrur.

This film marks the first time Jr NTR is working with Prashanth Neel, known for his larger-than-life action films. While the official title has not been confirmed, there are reports suggesting it could be Dragon, though the makers have not announced it yet.
The film is said to be a period action drama set in the 1960s, possibly focusing on Telugu immigrants and the drug trade in the Golden Triangle region. With Neel's signature storytelling and Jr NTR's mass appeal, the project is shaping up to be a pan-India spectacle.
