Reports of Jawan 2
The blockbuster duo of Atlee and Shah Rukh Khan is collaborating once again for Jawan 2, a source told India Today. With the script already approved, Shah Rukh Khan is expected to start shooting after his current project, King. "A script and idea for Jawan 2 had been in the works for a while. A few weeks ago, the script was finalised. SRK will begin work on the film after completing King."
While details have not been disclosed yet, fans are excited about the possibility of SRK returning as either Captain Vikram Rathore or Azad Rathore.
Jawan 2 Villain
Jawan featured Vijay Sethupathi as Kalee Gaikwad, the main villain. Along similar lines, Atlee is looking forward to finalizing an A-lister from the South industry. "The team is looking to lock in an A-lister from the South as the villain."
About Jawan
When Jawan hit theaters in September 2023, it arrived with full force. The film marked the first collaboration between the 'King of Bollywood' and Atlee, while also serving as the director's highly anticipated Bollywood debut. The pan-India film received strong positive responses from audiences across the country.
With a massively successful 2023, Shah Rukh Khan broke several records with Pathaan and Jawan. Jawan carried on to collect a worldwide gross collection of about Rs 1,160 crore.
SRK's King
Before there is any confirmation for Jawan 2, Shah Rukh Khan is currently focused on his upcoming project King. It is directed by Siddharth Anand, known for his blockbuster Pathaan. King is scheduled to release on December 24, 2026, marking SRK's return after about three years.
The star-studded cast of King includes Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, and several others. Moreover, it unites SRK with his daughter Suhana Khan on the big screen for the first time.
