TCS Nashik 'Conversion' Case: SIT Re-Questions Ex-Employees Who Quit Suddenly From 2022-2024

TCS has said a preliminary review of its systems found no complaints of the alleged nature on its ethics or Prevention Of Sexual Harassment (POSH) channels.

The SIT probing the TCS Nashik sexual harassment and forced conversion case is re-interviewing former employees who resigned abruptly between 2022 and 2024, NDTV reported on Friday.

The alleged incidents span February 2022 to March 2026, with several victims claiming they sent over 78 emails and made multiple phone calls to the company's HR department — none of which resulted in action.

After the nine FIRs have been registered and eight employees arrested, including several team leaders and an assistant general manager of human resources. Six female police officers were deployed undercover inside the facility for 40 days as part of the probe.

Meanwhile, arrested HR official Ashwini Chainani is accused of discouraging a victim from filing a complaint, allegedly telling her "these things happen" and urging her to drop the matter. She has been remanded in 14-day judicial custody till April 28.

Investigators found the accused had created WhatsApp groups to allegedly coordinate targeting of vulnerable Hindu women employees, with victims pressured into religious practices against their will, according to reports.

Whereas, accused Nida Khan, described by TCS as a process associate, remains absconding. Three police teams have been formed to trace her.

TCS has said a preliminary review of its systems found no complaints of the alleged nature on its ethics or Prevention Of Sexual Harassment (POSH) channels. Also, the company has engaged Deloitte and law firm Trilegal for an independent internal inquiry.

Police have urged additional victims to come forward via a dedicated WhatsApp number and said more arrests are expected.
