The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the SSC GD Exam City Slip 2026 on its official portal, ssc.gov.in. Applicants preparing for the Constable (GD) exam can now access their assigned examination city online.

This recruitment drive includes positions of constable (GD) within the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), SSF, rifleman (GD) in the Assam Rifles, and Sepoy in the Narcotics Control Bureau. The SSC intends to fill a total of 25,487 vacant positions through this recruitment drive.

SSC GD Exam Dates

The official notice states that the SSC Constable (GD) examinations will be conducted nationwide between April 27 and May 30. Candidates can use the city intimation slip to determine their exam centre in advance, enabling them to plan their travel arrangements.

Marking scheme for the exam

The test conducted on a computer will consist of a single objective examination including 80 questions, each valued at two points. This examination will encompass topics such as general awareness and reasoning, general knowledge and awareness, basic mathematics, and English or Hindi.

All questions will be in a multiple-choice format. The SSC will impose a penalty of 0.25 marks for each incorrect response. After the results are announced, the commission will not permit any re-checking or re-evaluation of the scores.
