Pahalgam Terror Attack: NIA Arrests Two Locals For Sheltering LeT Terrorists

In a major breakthrough in the Pahalgam terrorist attack on tourists in April this year which left over 25 civilians dead, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested two locals for harbouring Pakistan terrorists, NDTV reported on Sunday.

The two locals harboured Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists from Pakistan. These terrorists were involved in the attack on tourists in Pahalgam on April 22 that killed 26 and injured 16 others.

Both individuals, Parvez Ahmad Jothar and Bashir Ahmad Jothar, provided shelter, food, and essential supplies to the terrorists before the attack, as per the report.

The arrested locals have been charged under Section 19 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) 1967.

Further investigation is underway.
