The Indian Army marked the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor on Thursday by releasing a video that highlights the 88-hour punitive campaign launched after the April 2025 Pahalgam terror attack.
Operation Sindoor, launched on May 7, 2025, served as a decisive military response, aimed at dismantling Pakistan-backed terror infrastructure.
In a video marking a year of Operation Sindoor, the Indian armed forces posted a video on X, that said, "India's resolute response calibrated and precise. Committed to safeguarding sovereignty and its people."
"Justice served. Jai Hind," it added.
A key feature of the video is Prime Minister Narendra Modi's address following the April 22 massacre. In a stern warning to those harbouring militants, the Prime Minister had stated, "India will identify, track, and punish every terrorist and their backers."

The PM had underscored India's resolute diplomatic stance against cross-border violence by declaring that "terror and talk cannot go together, terror and trade cannot go hand in hand," and "water and blood will not flow together."
Sharing the video on X, the Indian Air Force handle stated, “Justice served. Precise in action, eternal in memory-Operation Sindoor continues. India forgets nothing—India forgives nothing.”
The video also carried a sharp message on the scale and speed of the operation, stating that it “just took 88 hours”.
India's 88-hour operation
The 88 hours of Operation Sindoor began on May 7, 2025, at 1:05 am, following the terrorist attack that killed 26 civilians.
Operation Sindoor was a multi-dimensional tri-service military operation conducted by the Indian Armed Forces targeting terrorist infrastructure across Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Pakistan.
The strikes, which involved Rafale jets and Su-30MKI fighter jets, targeted Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) camps in areas such as Bahawalpur and Muridke.
Key Military Outcome
Official reports indicated over 100 terrorists were eliminated. The action resulted in a brief, intense military conflict, including shelling and drone attacks from Pakistan, before a ceasefire was reached on May 10.
