VSSC/ISRO Internship 2026 Eligibility Criteria, Stipend
Indian citizens enrolled in Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), or PhD programs at accredited universities/institutions, both domestic or international, in the domains of Science and Technology, are qualified for this internship. Candidates are required to have an overall score of at least 60% or a CGPA of 6.32 when measured on a scale of 10.
VSSC provides no stipend, remuneration, or financial assistance during the internship period, positioning it as a pure academic and exposure opportunity rather than a paid engagement. The program welcomes students from recognized universities or institutions in India and abroad who are either currently enrolled in regular on-campus courses or have completed their courses as regular on-campus students within six months prior to the application window's opening date
Application Dates, Duration of Internship
Prospective interns can submit their applications for the VSSC/ISRO internship program from 10:00 AM on February 16, 2026, until March 16, 2026.
The internship lasts for a period ranging from a minimum of 21 days to a maximum of 45 days, providing an insight into the vibrant atmosphere of ISRO.

Student enrolled in following courses are eligible for internships: VSSC offers internships to students pursuing a wide array of engineering and science courses aligned with space technology needs, including BTech and BE in specialised fields such as Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science & Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, and others like Polymer Science, Production Engineering, and Engineering Physics.
The programme also covers basic and integrated science degrees like BSc (Chemistry, Physics), BS-MS (Chemistry, Physics), and Integrated MSc (Chemistry, Physics), alongside advanced postgraduate options such as Integrated MTech, MTech, ME, and MSc in niche areas including Atmospheric Sciences, Meteorology, Oceanography, Space Physics, and Computer Science specialisations in Data Analytics and Data Science. PhD students qualify after completing their coursework, ensuring exposure across undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels in relevant domains.
