Diversions will depend on the ground situation, so traffic movement may change during the day. Travellers should follow instructions from traffic personnel and check official updates before leaving.

The protest is linked to demands for the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over concerns surrounding the revision of electoral rolls. Authorities have stepped up security arrangements ahead of the gathering.

What Should Commuters Keep In Mind?

The traffic diversions are scheduled to begin at 6 am on October 10, but their implementation will depend on the situation. Commuters should avoid unnecessary travel through affected areas and consider alternative routes where possible.

Those heading to the airport, railway stations or bus terminals should leave with additional travel time to account for possible congestion and delays. Public transport may be a practical alternative for journeys through central Delhi, although passengers should check for service updates before travelling.

The traffic situation may evolve as security arrangements are implemented. Commuters should follow directions issued by Delhi Traffic Police and on-ground personnel rather than relying solely on usual routes.
