Infosys Ltd. will acquire London-based product design and customer experience company Brilliant Basics for £7.5 million, making it the information technology giant’s ninth such hub across the globe.

The acquisition is expected to be completed by the second quarter of the current fiscal, the company said in a media statement. Infosys did not disclose the value of the deal.

India’s second largest software services firm aims to create a connected network of digital studios across the globe. It already has digital studios in Bengaluru, Pune, Chennai, Dallas, Berlin, Melbourne, New York, and San Francisco, according to Infosys’ dedicated mini site for digital.

These studios work on improving the customer experience and design of the company’s digital product offerings.

Adding Brilliant Basics’ design and CX (customer experience) capabilities has already proven to be invaluable, helping Infosys close large deals with a deep blend of skills.
