Hotels, Eateries, Bars To Start Operating From Oct. 5 In Maharashtra

The state government has extended the lockdown till Oct. 31.

India’s richest state has extended its lockdown till Oct. 31, which was imposed following the Covid-19 outbreak, even as it eased several restrictions.

What’s Not Allowed

  • Schools, colleges, educational and coaching institutions will remain closed. Online/distance learning shall continue and shall be encouraged.
  • Cinema halls, swimming pools, entertainment parks, theatres (including those in malls and market complexes), auditoriums, assembly halls and similar places.
  • International air travel of passengers, as permitted by Ministry of Home Affairs.
  • Metro rail services
  • Social, political, sports, entertainment, academic, cultural, religious functions and other large congregations.

Maharashtra recorded 18,317 new cases of Covid-19 taking the total tally at13,84,446, according to the state’s Health Ministry bulletin on Sept. 30.
