Rolta India shares rose over 5 per cent on Monday after the Mumbai-based IT solutions provider announced a multi-million dollar follow-on deal win from Saudi Arabia-based Sadara.

The additional scope of work entails implementation of a comprehensive engineering information system within Sadara's Jubail integrated chemical complex.

"The multi-million dollar award of additional scope is an amendment to the contract which was awarded earlier and which was also multi-million dollars in value," Rolta said in a press release.

Sadara is an alliance between Saudi Arabian Oil Company and The Dow Chemical Company.

The $20 billion dollar chemical complex is being managed by a global Rolta team working out of United States, India and Saudi Arabia, the company said.

At 12:29 p.m., the Rolta scrip was trading 5.40 per cent higher on the BSE after hitting a day high of Rs 116 apiece earlier, outperforming the Sensex and the Nifty.
