Shares in hero MotoCorp fell over 3 per cent to Rs 2,488 on Thursday as Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) has reduced its weight in its 'MSCI India' index from its current level of 5.41 per cent.
Shares in hero MotoCorp fell over 3 per cent to Rs 2,488 on Thursday as Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) has reduced its weight in its 'MSCI India' index from its current level of 5.41 per cent.
The changes will be effective from September 1, 2014. Post this change the stock is likely to witness some selling from passive funds who track the MSCI India index. The stock has corrected nearly 4 per cent in last one week.
In another move MSCI has increased the weight of Dabur India in its MSCI India index.
As of 12.55 p.m. Shares in Hero MotoCorp traded 2.90 per cent lower at Rs 2,503.95 and Dabur India shares traded 2.94 per cent higher at Rs 217.05.
