"As a safety measure, the work in the unit has been temporarily discontinued and would be resumed during the day. There has been no injury or loss to human life on account of the fire," Bosch said.
The Bosch stock fell nearly 3 per cent to Rs 25,660 on the BSE. At 1:40 pm, it was trading over 2 per cent lower at Rs 25,728, underperforming the broader Nifty and the Sensex which were trading flat in the red.
"The company is currently ascertaining the extent of damage in the plating department due to this fire.
However, it does not foresee any major financial impact on account of the fire. The entire unit is adequately covered under insurance," Bosch said in a regulatory filing.
