North Korea has announced its support for Iran’s appointment of Mojtaba Khamenei as the country’s supreme leader and decried the 'illegal' attack by the US and Israel on Iran, as per to the state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
A spokesperson from North Korea’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Pyongyang respected "the right and choice" of Iran to select Khamenei, who replaced his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as the country’s new leader, Al Jazeera reported.

Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has been left stranded in Qatar amid the war in the Middle East. Al-Khelaifi has not been able to fly out of Doha for more than a week, a person with knowledge of the situation told The Associated Press on Tuesday. The person spoke on the condition on anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly.
Flights in and out of the Middle East have been impacted by the Iran war, which began the U.S. and Israeli strikes on Feb. 28.
Al-Khelaifi has been trying to return to Paris ahead of PSG's Champions League round-of-16 match against Chelsea on Wednesday.

Iran War Live Updates: Two More Iranian Women's Football Team Granted Asylum In Australia
Two more members of the Iranian women's football team were granted asylum in Australia before their teammates departed, the country's Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke said on Wednesday.
The pair has been reunited with five players who were granted humanitarian visas a day earlier, Burke told reporters in Canberra. One of those in the later group was a player and the other a team staffer, Burke said, and both sought asylum before their teammates were transported to the airport.
The rest of the team's departure from Sydney to return to Iran late Tuesday local time happened during fraught and outraged protest at the team's hotel and at the airport, where Iranian Australians sought to prevent the women from leaving the country, citing fears for their safety in Iran.
Their flight departed late on Tuesday.

Iran War Live Updates: Pentagon Says 140 US Troops Wounded
Gen. Dan Caine, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said US forces hit more than 5,000 targets.
The Pentagon separately said on Tuesday that about 140 US service members have been wounded in the war, and the "vast majority" of the injuries were minor, with 108 service members already back on duty. Eight US service members suffered severe injuries, and seven have been killed.

The UN refugee agency said that more than 667,000 people in Lebanon had registered as displaced -- an increase of over 100,000 since a day earlier -- and more than 85,000 people from Lebanon, mostly Syrians, had entered neighbouring Syria.
The British government said the number of commercial flights from the UAE to the UK is returning to normal levels, with 32 flights operated from Dubai to Britain on Monday and another 36 scheduled on Tuesday. British Airways, however, said it suspended flights to and from Jordan, Bahrain, Qatar, Dubai and Tel Aviv until later this month.
Many foreign nationals have been getting out of the Persian Gulf region since the war began, including over 45,000 UK citizens, the British Foreign Office said. Some 40,000 people returned to the United States, according to the State Department.

A top Iranian security official, Ali Larijani, posted a warning to Trump, writing on X that "Even those bigger than you couldn't eliminate Iran. Be careful not to get eliminated yourself." Iran has been accused of plotting attempts to kill Trump in the past.
Iran War Live Updates: Death Toll Rises In Gulf
The United Arab Emirates reported two more deaths as nine drones struck the country, and nearly three dozen other drones and missiles were intercepted. Firefighters battled a blaze after an Iranian drone strike in the industrial city of Ruwais, home to petrochemical plants, officials said. No injuries were reported there.
Iranian attacks on the wealthy Gulf country -- home to the business and travel hub of Dubai -- have killed six people and wounded 122 since the surprise bombardment of Iran by the US and Israel began on February 28.
In Bahrain, authorities said an Iranian attack hit a residential building in the capital, Manama, killing a 29-year-old woman and wounding eight people. Bahrain's Defence Ministry says it has intercepted over 100 ballistic missiles and 175 drones since the war began.
Sirens also sounded in Jerusalem, and sounds of explosions could be heard in Tel Aviv as Israel's air defences worked to intercept barrages from Iran. Hezbollah, which began firing on Israel after the start of the war, launched missiles into Israel.
