Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Friday issued a sharp warning to the United States and countries in the region, cautioning against any escalation and urging neighbours not to allow their territory to be used for military action against Iran.
The message was posted on his official X handle of Pezeshkian, amid rising tensions in the Middle East.

The post read, “We have said many times that Iran doesn't carry out preemptive attacks, but we will retaliate strongly if our infrastructure or economic centers are targeted."
Warning Gulf countries, the president said, "To the countries of the region: If you want development and security, don't let our enemies run the war from your lands.”
While reiterating that Iran does not initiate attacks, Pezeshkian made it clear that any strike on its infrastructure or economic hubs would trigger a strong response.
The remarks come at a time of heightened geopolitical tension, with ongoing debates in Washington over military options and increasing rhetoric from both sides.
Meanwhile, even as Iranian official dismissed a US proposal for ending nearly four weeks of fighting, two days ago, US President Donald Trump said that he would pause attacks on Iran's energy plants for 10 days at Tehran's request and said talks with Iran were going 'very well'
Trump made the comment in a Truth Social post shortly after threatening during a cabinet meeting at the White House to increase pressure on Iran if it did not make a deal.
