Iran's Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi has held phone conversations with Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar as well as army chief Asim Munir, amid heightened diplomatic activity around a possible ceasefire and renewed US-Iran engagement, according to Al Jazeera report.
Iran's semi-official Tasnim News Agency reported that the discussions focused on regional developments and issues related to the ceasefire.
In a separate call, Araghchi also spoke with Nechirvan Barzani, president of Iraq's semi-autonomous Kurdish region.

According to Al Jazeera, Iran's political and military leadership has projected unity in recent days.
“Last night, the speaker of parliament, the president, the head of the judiciary and accounts affiliated with the IRGC all came out with the same message,” the report said, describing it as a clear show of solidarity between the political establishment and the military.
The broadcaster also noted growing displays of nationalism within Iran, with public gatherings and flag-waving seen as an attempt to signal domestic support amid ongoing tensions. Despite this, the situation continues to be marked by a cloud of mistrust between opposing sides.
Separately, Tasnim reported that flights from Tehran's Imam Khomeini International Airport to Muscat and Istanbul are set to resume on Sunday. Iran has been gradually reopening its airspace under a phased plan that began on April 18.
