Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has posted a fresh video on X showing him interacting with officials and companions, appearing to push back against online speculation and deepfake claims surrounding a recently viral coffee shop clip.

The 90-second montage, shared through the Israeli Prime Minister's official account, shows Netanyahu smiling, chatting and gesturing with people, including women in casual and military-style clothing, at scenic outdoor locations overlooking hills and landscapes.

Hebrew subtitles from their conversations appear on screen with phrases such as “I'm here” and “Look, Jerusalem.” The accompanying Hebrew caption was translated by the AI chatbot Grok as: “We keep the guidelines and win together.”

The post comes after a separate video of Netanyahu ordering coffee at a cafe sparked widespread debate online, with some social media users and AI tools questioning whether the footage was artificially generated.

In the earlier clip, Netanyahu is seen ordering coffee at Sataf. The Israeli leader appears to mock rumours circulating online about his alleged death. After being told that some reports claim he had died, Netanyahu responds sarcastically: “I am dying for coffee.”

He also refers to online speculation triggered by another video in which some viewers claimed his hand appeared to show six fingers, a common sign associated with AI-generated imagery. Gesturing with his hands, Netanyahu says: “You want to count the number of fingers. You can show us here and here. You saw!”

Raising his coffee cup, he concludes with “L'chaim,” a Hebrew phrase meaning “to life.”

Despite the apparent attempt to dismiss rumours, the cafe clip drew further scrutiny when Grok, the AI chatbot integrated into X, labelled the footage as AI-generated in response to a user query.

Amid the speculation, Reuven Azar, Israel's ambassador to India, dismissed the claims and confirmed that the Israeli Prime Minister is alive.

“Prime Minister Netanyahu is alive. I saw him personally when I was in Israel more than once,” Azar said in New Delhi.

Rumours about Netanyahu's death have circulated widely on social media in recent days, fuelled in part by his absence from public appearances for more than two days during heightened regional tensions involving Israel, Iran and the Gulf.
