An Indian techie, Soham Parekh, is making headlines in the United States' Silicon Valley for reportedly working at multiple companies simultaneously. At least five US-based CEOs have alleged that Parekh duped them by moonlighting at multiple companies.
The matter gained social media spotlight after Playground AI Founder Suhail Doshi on Wednesday accused Parekh of moonlighting at three to four firms simultaneously.
“PSA: there's a guy named Soham Parekh (in India) who works at three to four startups at the same time. He's been preying on YC companies and more. Beware,” Doshi said.

AdvertisementDoshi also shared screenshots of his resume and said that “probably 90% of it is fake”.
As the post gained traction, Founder and CEO of a firm called Lindy, Flo Crivello, noted that they also had hired Parekh a week ago.
“We hired this guy a week ago. Fired this morning. He did incredibly well in interviews and must have a lot of training. Careful out there,” Flo's X post read. The CEO further cautioned other companies to thoroughly run background checks while hiring new employees.
Sharing a similar experience, Antimetal CEO Matthew Parkhurst said Parekh had also worked for them.
“We realised pretty quickly that he was working at multiple companies and let him go. I can't imagine the amount of equity he's left on the table,” he said on X.

July 2, 2025Another CEO, Adish Jain, founder of Mosaic, also echoed the allegations, noting Parekh wasted their time for a whole month.
“Can confirm. This guy wasted our time for a month. Did great in interviews. But he's a liar,” Jain said.

July 2, 2025In a separate post, Doshi later claimed that Parekh had reached out to him privately after the allegations surfaced.
“Asking this as genuine advice since I do really love what I do, have I completely sabotaged my career? What can I do to improve my situation? I am also happy to come clean," Parekh told Doshi.
Meanwhile, many people agreed that Parekh's actions were wrong, while some called him a "smart hustler" and said that he should publish his tips about cracking interviews.
