A passenger travelling with IndiGo Airlines has raised concerns over a weight discrepancy for the same bag at the airport, calling it one of the "biggest unnoticed scams".

In a post on X, the passenger accused IndiGo Airlines of inflating baggage weights at their check-in counters using inconsistent weighing scales.

"This is nothing less than daylight robbery," the user claimed as he demanded an explanation from authorities in his X post on Tuesday. According to the passenger, identified as Rattan Dhillon, during his travel on IndiGo flight 6E724 from Goa to Chandigarh, he found that his bag registered inconsistent weights on different weighing belts of IndiGo. It once showed 18 kg, 16 kg and 15 kg.

"Yesterday, while boarding flight 6E724 from Goa to Chandigarh, my bag showed 18 kg on one belt, 16 kg on another, and 15 kg on a third. When I questioned the discrepancy, the IndiGo staff simply replied, 'Sir, the 15 kg machine must be wrong, 18 is the correct weight," the user claimed.
