Chinese smartphone brand iQOO has announced plans to introduce the iQOO 15R in India shortly. The device is expected to join the iQOO 15 family as its second model, coming months after the flagship iQOO 15 debuted in November 2025.
Early promotional images offer a glimpse of the design, revealing two rear cameras and a chequered rear panel.
Nipun Marya, CEO of iQOO India, has hinted at the arrival of the iQOO 15R through a post on X. While no launch timeline was shared, the device was described as “coming soon”.
The accompanying teaser image shows a square, floating camera module with rounded corners, closely resembling the design seen on the flagship iQOO 15, with the LED flash placed outside the camera unit.
The rear of the iQOO 15R stands out with a chequered, multi-tone design, as seen in a grey colourway. Visuals also indicate antenna lines running above and below the right-side-mounted power and volume buttons, and the phone adopts a curved-edge profile.
According to the teaser, the iQOO 15R will operate on OriginOS, the company's in-house interface that debuted with the iQOO 15 late last year. Although iQOO has not confirmed the version, the handset is expected to run OriginOS 6 based on Android 16.
Media speculation points to the iQOO 15R being a rebranded iQOO Z11 Turbo, a device expected to be introduced in China in the near future. The smartphone is also said to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, the same chip found in the OnePlus 15R and the upcoming Motorola Signature for the Indian market.
iQOO has confirmed that the Z11 Turbo, which is set for release in China, will feature a 6.59-inch display and a 200 MP “ultra-clear” rear camera. The device will adopt a metal frame paired with a glass back and rounded edges, while also offering IP68 and IP69 certification for dust and water resistance, along with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
