Notably, the device is expected to maintain a similar look and feel to its predecessor, with only minor size adjustments. The leaks indicate that the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL will measure around 162.7 x 76.6 x 8.5mm, marking a negligible variation from 2024's Pixel 9 Pro XL. In effect, disappointingly, just like Apple with iPhones, Google too is preferring to make just incremental changes and not much else in its latest smartphones.

There is some change happening of late though. Google appears to be accelerating its entire release schedule and crowding in ahead or near rivals' launches.

The same is likely happening with the upcoming Google Pixel 9a. Alongside this, Google has also expedited its Android release schedule, signalling a broader trend of earlier launches.
Now, the Pixel 10 series is likely to follow suit. Much like the Pixel 9 series, which arrived two months ahead of schedule in August 2024, the Pixel 10 lineup is expected to launch in August this year — once again moving up the timeline by two months — while debuting with Android 16.
