Marco Jansen produced a standout fielding moment in Punjab Kings' IPL 2026 clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad at New Chandigarh on April 11, pulling off a remarkable one-handed catch to dismiss Ishan Kishan at a critical juncture of the game
The moment arrived in the 14th over of the SRH innings, with Kishan beginning to accelerate after a brisk 27 off 17 balls. Having already struck Arshdeep Singh for a six earlier in the over, the left-hander looked set to push on alongside Heinrich Klaasen as the pair built a threatening 47-run partnership for the third wicket.
Kishan looked to clear the ropes at long-on off a full delivery, connecting cleanly and sending the ball flying towards the boundary. However, Jansen who was positioned in the deep, covered a vat amount of distance with his long strides before stretching out his left hand to complete a clean catch just inside the field of play.
The dismissal broke a 47-run stand between Kishan and Klaasen and handed Arshdeep his first wicket, allowing Punjab to briefly regain control after a rapid start from SRH.

Here's a look at Jansen's impressive effort at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, New Chandigarh.
Earlier, Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head had powered the visitors to the highest powerplay total of the season, racing to 105/0 after six overs. The pair were finally split in the 9th over when Shashank Singh got rid of both Head (38 off 23 balls) and Abhishek (74 off 28 balls) in the same over.
Kishan's wicket came just as Hyderabad were looking to accelerate again after that strong start. Despite the breakthrough, SRH's scoring rate remained strong, with the team looking set for a big total in match 17 of the tournament.
