New Zealand would've been delighted to see their understrength bowling attack rise to the occasion, with Kristian Clarke taking 3 for 56. India, on the other hand, would be concerned about their bowling, especially the spinners. In conditions ripe for them to win the contest, both Kuldeep Yadav (1/82) and Ravindra Jadeja (0/44) failed to provide their team enough breakthroughs.
